APP PRIVACY POLICY

1. WHAT INFORMATION DOES THE APP COLLECT?

This application collects the information necessary for the normal operation of our business. Under no circumstances do we collect personal information that is not related to the activity we carry out.

The app does not collect personal information such as your name or phone number unless, at some point, the app asks you for this information and you freely provide it, accepting its submission. The app may collect an email address and store it so that we can contact the user if necessary.

2. WHAT INFORMATION IS COVERED BY THIS PRIVACY POLICY?

The App may collect two types of information: (1) non-personal and anonymous information collected automatically; or (2) personally identifiable information (PII) collected manually with the user’s consent.

Non-personal information collected automatically
Technical information, which includes certain data or features about the operating system, such as the type of network operator or browser used, Internet Protocol (IP), IP address, the names and versions of apps installed on the device, and the geographical location of the device. This technical information, as mentioned above, remains anonymous, meaning that it does not personally identify you and is not stored in association with any other information that could link it to you, unless you voluntarily provide additional information.

This information is used to improve the app by learning how, when and where users navigate through it.

Information the user provides voluntarily
If at any time the app requests Personal Identifiable Information (PII) that allows us to contact you, such as your name or mobile phone, you are free to provide such information. However:

  • If you share your PII in an open format (for example, through social networks), any information we obtain will not be protected by this privacy policy.
  • PII does not include any type of information collected by the application by any means other than this app itself in which this privacy policy appears. This means that information collected anywhere other than this application is not covered by this Privacy Policy. Note that if the app includes links to other applications, we are not responsible for the content, activity or information found there.

The following is considered personal information:

  • Demographic information such as age or date of birth, nationality, level of education, gender, interests or traits.
  • User information such as username and password, confidential answers to certain security questions or similar information that allows us to identify your account or authenticate it before giving out personal information about the user’s account.

Most of this data can be obtained when the app offers a social sign-up feature and the user accepts registration in the app through a social account. In some cases, the app may register automatically with the social account on the user’s device and the user accepts that registration by using the app.

3. WHAT HAPPENS TO THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT FROM CHILDREN?

This application does not collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. We take children’s privacy seriously and encourage parents to play an active role in their children’s online education at all times. Children under 13 must not install our application on any device they own and, if they do, it will be entirely the responsibility of their parents or guardians. If we obtain personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information from our servers as soon as possible. If the content of this app has been rated as suitable for children under 13, it should only be installed on devices belonging to their parents, guardians or any person over 13 years of age. If the app requests personal information at any time, children under 13 must not enter such information.

4. HOW DO WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We collect personally identifiable information (PII), demographic information and user information from our users when they:

  • Register in our application.
  • Take part in surveys, studies or questionnaires.
  • Take part in offers or promotions.

In addition to the information listed above, we use cookies to collect information from users when they visit our application. Cookies are small pieces of information that a website or app sends to your device while you are browsing. For example, when you decide to return to our app after registering, cookies provide information so that our server remembers who you are. You can choose to accept or reject cookies, depending on your device settings. If you reject or delete cookies, access to some services may not work properly.

5. HOW DO WE USE THE INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE?

We use the information we collect in the application in the following ways:

  • To personalise and improve your experience and allow us to provide the type of content and offers that best match your interests.
  • To deliver, provide and repair products or services.
  • To send you communications such as welcome letters, purchase confirmations, payment notices or administrative messages.
  • To set up and maintain user accounts and their history.
  • To contact you about our products and services and send you the best offers and promotions based on your interests.
  • To study statistics relating to our online platform.
  • To inform our customer service staff.
  • To set up your online account and authenticate it during user registration.
  • To process your information requests quickly.
  • To respond efficiently to your queries.
  • To analyse a promotion or survey.
  • To send you promotional material.
  • To allow us to share information with third-party companies under the terms described in this privacy policy and for the purposes mentioned above, where permitted by law.

6. WHO DO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH?

This application may share your information (in some cases), your PII and user information, in the following situations:

  • When the app is monetised through advertising, the advertising networks and/or advertisers that provide adverts may require certain information about the user or device in order to show the most appropriate or interesting advert.
  • When we hire companies to run and optimise marketing campaigns or adverts and manage and analyse consumer data. These companies are only authorised to obtain the PII and user information strictly necessary to carry out the task assigned to them and are strictly prohibited from using the information for any purpose other than that agreed. They have also agreed to keep the information confidential and secure. If this app hires an advertising network, that network is required to commit not to misuse the data provided for the normal operation of its business.
  • When we hire independent advertising networks to show advertising banners for our app while you visit third-party websites. To do this more effectively, the advertising network may use and insert on your device certain technologies, such as cookies, to collect non-personal information about you when you visit our application. This information is used to show adverts about goods and services that best match your interests when you visit other websites.

We often evaluate (sometimes with the help of external companies) how our online content and services are performing. The information disclosed for this purpose is stored on the company’s servers and is limited to professional use. In no case will PII or user information be shared, except as set out above.

When disclosure of data is required by law or necessary to protect the security of the applications, this app reserves the right to disclose any information collected, regardless of when it was collected. We will only disclose information when permitted or required by law, or when we believe in good faith that there are reasons to do so: (i) to protect your safety, including your property; (ii) to protect the security of our apps or third parties; and (iii) to enforce the terms of use, updates or promotions.

7. WILL THIRD PARTIES COLLECT INFORMATION FROM YOUR APPS?

There are certain situations in which a third party may collect information from the app. This app uses third-party libraries that offer various features: analytics tools, communication tools, social networks, advertisers, etc.

  • Analytics tools: to improve the app, we sometimes use tools that analyse user behaviour. This helps us identify which parts of the app are most important and which need improvement.
  • Communication tools: in case we need to contact users, we integrate third-party tools that facilitate communication, whether through push notifications, emails, in-app alerts, etc.
  • Social networks: if at any point your app connects to a social network, it will request authorisation. Once the connection is authorised, the social network may access certain information.
  • Advertising networks: if this app shows advertising, it will normally come from advertising networks that connect with advertisers. These networks need certain information to provide the advert that is most suitable for you.

This application reserves the right to provide certain user information to companies that collaborate with us or to software developers who provide some of the app’s functionality. We provide such access to generate interest in our products among those with whom we have agreements and to allow us to reach you and your contacts with the type of product we offer. The information collected by us will be treated in accordance with this Privacy Policy, but the use of the information by a third party will be governed by that party’s own standards. This application does not guarantee that the other party complies with its own security policy.

8. WHAT SECURITY MEASURES DO WE TAKE TO SAFEGUARD YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

The security and confidentiality of your information is extremely important to us. For this reason, we have technical, administrative and physical security measures in place to protect your personal information against unauthorised access and misuse. We also review our security systems regularly to incorporate new technologies and updating methods. However, despite our efforts, no security method is completely perfect or infallible.

You can also play an important role in keeping your information secure. If you are required to create a unique password to restrict access to your account, choose a password that is difficult for others to guess, and take care not to share it with anyone. You are responsible for keeping your password and account information secure at all times. If you use a public or shared mobile device, never allow it to save your login details and always log out of your account when you stop using the device.

Finally, with respect to companies that have an agreement with this app, we require them to accept and abide by our terms on confidentiality, integrity and security of any personal information we share with them. When your personal information is shared or simultaneously collected by a third party as described above, this will either be obvious to you from the context (such as a third-party name appearing on your screen) or you will be notified at the time your personal information is requested. You will also be given the opportunity to accept or decline these practices before they begin.

As set out in section 3 of this Privacy Policy, we do not collect personal information from children under 13 years of age and we inform them that they must not use our app in any circumstances. Therefore, this application will not share information collected from children under 13 with any company that has signed a collaboration agreement.

If we detect that any of our technology partners puts your integrity at risk or uses your information to carry out any illegal action, we will take appropriate steps to terminate our relationship with that provider.

9. HOW CAN YOU ASK QUESTIONS OR SEND COMMENTS ABOUT OUR PRIVACY POLICY?

If you have any questions or would like to contact us about any aspect of this policy, please send us an email to the developer’s address listed on the page from which you downloaded this app.

10. HOW WILL YOU KNOW IF WE CHANGE OUR PRIVACY POLICY?

This application reserves the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, although this is not common. Any changes to the policy will normally coincide with an updated version of the app. At the beginning of this policy you will find the version number and the date on which it was last edited. If we make any material changes to how we collect, use or share personal information, we will include these changes in a new version of this policy.

11. CLARIFICATIONS REGARDING THE USE OF THE ANDROID ADVERTISING ID

Version 4.0 of Google Play services introduced new APIs and an identifier (ID) that can be used by analytics and advertising providers. The following are the conditions of use for these APIs and this ID.

Use. The Android advertising ID is only used for advertising and user analytics purposes. The status of the “opt-out of interest-based ads” option must be checked each time the ID is accessed.

Linking to personally identifiable information or other identifiers. The advertising ID must not be linked to personally identifiable information or associated with any persistent device identifier (for example, SSAID, MAC address or IMEI) without the user’s explicit consent.

Respect for user choices. After a reset, the new advertising ID must not be linked to a previous advertising ID or to data derived from a previous advertising ID without the user’s explicit consent. Users must also be given the option to opt out of interest-based advertising. If a user has enabled this option, the advertising ID must not be used to create user profiles for advertising purposes or to target users with interest-based ads. Permitted activities include contextual advertising, frequency capping, conversion tracking, reporting and fraud and security detection.

Compliance with the terms of use. The advertising ID may only be used in accordance with these conditions, including by any party with whom you may share it in the course of your business activity. As of 1 August 2014, all updates and new apps uploaded to the Play Store must use the advertising ID (where available on a device) instead of any other device identifier for advertising purposes.
